In Moscow on December 8, 2006 the Regents Art Foundation together with a leadinginternational medical charity, Operation Smile held a charitable auction of Unus Safardiar’ssculpture models. Participating were leading representatives of the political, business andcultural communities of Russia. The patrons displayed genuine interest and adherence to thischarity event - in keeping with the best Russian traditions. The considerable funds raised bythe auction were donated to Operation Smile. This charity was able to finance 40maxillofacial surgeries for children.

THE FOUNDATION WILL CONTINUE ITS ACTIVE COOPERATION WITH THE MOSCOW BRANCH OFOPERATION SMILE. THERE ARE PLANS TO CARRY OUT A SERIES OF CHARITY AUCTIONS IN 2007-2008.

The Moscow branch of Operation Smile was created as a Russian charity organization in 1995 under the sponsorshipof Operation Smile Incorporated. Within the framework of this project, highly experienced doctors provide the childrenwith free medical assistance in the sphere of reparative facial surgery (commonly – ‘cleft palette’).
